Welcome to the World of Accredited Wykamol Users

Our aim is to provide the best possible service, advice and solutions to protect your home, after all we’ve been preparing and protecting properties for over 50 years.

The Assocation of Accredited Wykamol Users or AAWU was formed in 1963; initially from the former contracting branches of Wykamol (Richardson & Starling Ltd.) and other high quality independent remedial treatment specialists. Since then it has grown into an active organisation of over 80 members with regular meetings and training seminars all designed to improve standards, working practices and ensure that homeowners get the best possible service and solutions.

The common feature of all association members is that they have been carefully vetted and approved for standards of surveying and workmanship by The Wykamol Group, so when you select an association member to carry out work on your property you can be confident in the knowledge that they won’t let you down – their knowledge, workmanship and standards of professionalism is second to none.

Damp Problems

Rising damp is a common problem in older properties either because no damp proof course (DPC) was provided at the time of building, or because a physical membrane has failed or been ‘bridged’.
